Clarifications about Upcoming League Changes

Since there were a couple of questions:

1. The Roster Expansion happens for the 2010 draft, that is next year's draft. We will be carrying an extra RB and R, and starting an extra RB and R. The salary cap moves to $240, with the Protection Cap (starting in 2011) at $120. This means that you must draft the 2 extra players next year, but your protection cap doesn't increase until the following year's protection list.

So to be clear. Next year, whatever the protection day is, the protection cap will be $115. The day of the draft the salary increases to $240 for the two extra players.

The following year (the 2011 draft), the protection cap will move up to $120.

2. Starting in 2011 season, any player franchised for that season and beyond will be a loss of the first overall pick of the draft of that season.

So to be clear, if you franchise a player for the 2011 season, then you lose your first overall pick of the 2011 draft. This your first OVERALL pick.

Thanks,
Sunil, OSC
